Combined Color Mutants With some knowledge of the inheritance of mutations, one can create interesting colors by combining more than one mutation in one bird. Not all combinations are possible. Since chestnut is dominant over fawn there is no such thing as a Chestnut Fawn combination. Since Gray is not a color in itself but a modifier of color it can be combined with Chestnut, Fawn, Ino, and Pearl. Frills are not mentioned because they can be combined with any color. All in all there are lots of combinations. Some day I'll come up with a list of all the possibilities. Someday. |
