Kalanchoe daigremontianum variegata
Variegated Mother of thousands

A rare form of the common mother of thousands. The leaf edge is shocking pink when grown in high light. The babies that form on the leaf edge are pink and when they drop off they die since they have no chlorophyll. The plant must be propagated by large stem cuttings or division. The green species pumps out volunteer plants and is a nuisance - this one aborts the babies so rather than being prolific it is quite the opposite. Lovely plant.
