Amorphophallus konjac
'Leo Song'

'Leo Song' leaf petiole on the left, normal A. konjac on the right

Leo Song variant is named after the plant collector, Leo Song. When compared to typical konjac plants, the petiole is more beautiful, especially on larger older plants. Most of the olive blotching typical of konjac is gone and instead the petiole is pinkish with faint olive splatter. I find the leaves to be more graceful and more dissected than my normal konjac plants. A lovely addition to the konjac list and very distinct. When grown in cobalt blue glazed pots the petiole seems even brighter.
