Technical
win. In actuality, I left a blank on the entry
form by mistake and the club filled in the blank
wrong when the birds was being logged into the
show records. The judge did not notice that the
bird was a 2001 close banded bird so that it was
wrong for it to be in the 'old' category. The
next best unflighted bird did not even place in
the top ten, so had I filled in the paperwork
correctly I would have won Best Unflighted in
Show. In my heart I know that my bird won this
honor making it the best owner bred bird in
show. The number one and two birds were not
banded and could have been wild caught since one
was a honecreeper and the other a Cuban
melodius.
